The story of the game takes place in 1964 the 0th year of the war. So the Iron Storm gameplay focused on Allied soldier’s mission to stop the Russo-Mangolian Empire from developing nuclear weapons. The game features has mix World War I siege tactics, such as use of mustard gas and trench warfare. It also has some World War II style weapons including rocket launcher, tanks, flame throwers, automatic weapons, machine guns, mortars of that era and more contemporary technology such as anti-personnel mines, unmanned turrets, helicopters, wireless communication and spy satellites.
